Position Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Product Manager with a technical background (B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred) and 7+ years of experience in the electronic components industry, ideally with a focus on passive, electromechanical, and connector components. This role is critical in driving product strategy, enabling sales, managing supplier relationships, and shaping market-driven product positioning.

Advanced degree or MBA a plus

Demonstrated technical experience/proficiency may be taken in lieu
Experience Required:

Minimum 7 years of experience in product management, applications engineering, technical sales, or supplier management

Experience within electronic component manufacturing or distribution (or a combination)
Qualifications and Skills Required:

Deep product knowledge in passive, electromechanical, and connector product categories

Demonstrated success in cross-functional initiatives and stakeholder engagement

Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/ERP systems

Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills a plus

Experience supporting technical sales teams and strategic accounts a plus

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Duties/Responsibilities:

Serve as the technical and strategic product owner for passive, electronic, electromechanical, and connector products

Provide internal sales team with product guidance, application insights, and training

Manage supplier communications, support negotiations, and foster business development

Develop and execute product roadmaps, including NPIs, pricing, and lifecycle management

Analyze market trends, competitive data, and customer feedback to drive growth

Collaborate cross-functionally on go-to-market strategies, promotions, and enablement tools

Maintain accurate cost data and margin targets, applying knowledge of distribution economics

Represent Wesgarde at customer meetings and industry events
Physical Demands:
This position is mostly sedentary (6+ hours/day). Work is performed in an office environment and requires typing for extended periods. Occasional lifting of boxes (up to 20 pounds) may be required. Most tasks involve computer and screen usage.
