Reports to: Quality Manager
Position Summary:
This position works as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product. Team assemblers can perform all tasks conducted by the team in the assembly process and rotate through all or most of them rather than being assigned to a specific task on a permanent basis.
Education Requirement:
High school diploma/GED
Experience Requirement:
- Coachable and willingness to learn.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Good communication skills.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- The ability to listen to and learn how to perform all tasks necessary to assemble units and complete sub-assemblies.
- Review work orders and blueprints to ensure work is performed according to specifications.
- Follow instructions and meet productivity standards and timelines.
- Assemble and attach labels and hardware such as clamps, tie wraps, knobs, and switches to assemblies as instructed.
- Keep a clean and well-maintained workspace.
- Maintain the tools used to create products.
- Adhere to safety procedures while operating equipment.
- Work in multiple areas of production as directed.
- Perform assembly tasks as instructed.
Physical Demands:
- Manual Dexterity — The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
- Finger Dexterity — The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.
- Problem Sensitivity — The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.
- Vision — The ability to see details.
- Oral Comprehension — The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
