Sorenson Group of Companies Acquires ED&D Technology

The Sorenson family is proud to announce the acquisition of ED&D Technology effective June 26, 2008. ED&D manufactures/designs multiplex systems, products and software. The business will operate under the name of ED&D Technologies, www.edd-tech.com. The corporate headquarters will be based in Hartford, Connecticut with an office in Oviedo, Florida. ED&D currently has 14 employees in Florida and 2 employees in Connecticut.
Established in 1985, ED&D initially designed and developed  sensors, probes, monitors, and data logging systems for combustion turbine and nuclear installations. During the process of creating this unique technology, ED&D developed a superior means for transmitting power to the various types of sensors and probes while delivering feedback to the applicable gauges and monitoring equipment. The technology was called “E-Plex”.
Since those first days of installation in turbine and nuclear sites, ED&D engineered a wide range of other products utilizing this technology. ED&D’s new products have become widely accepted in the marine and motorcoach industries.
We look forward to continue to serve not only current E-Plex customers, but are confident that with all the features and benefits this technology offers we will be able to expand our customer base.
